The centre 6m width of gravel runway can get soft after periods of heavy rain which we can expect frequently during winter. To avoid wheel ruts (as per the attached photo), please avoid hard braking so use the entire length if necessary to decelerate gradually. Turn off the gravel strip at a shallow departure angle to avoid a rut from the nosewheel. The western side of the gravel strip at the southern end between the strip and the gravel perimeter road is much firmer than the northern end.
